Fun with Auntie Kelly!

Eli was enjoying the summer weather with Auntie Kelly this week. They went to the zoo, the Little Red School, and best of all - Eli got his first McDonald's ice cream cone. Auntie Kelly couldn't even pry his fingers off that cone...he sat like that until it was finished!

BIG Announcement...

Oma and Opa came over tonight for a BIG announcement....

Eli's not sure how he feels about the news....

Not only is Eli going to be a big brother, but a big cousin too!!! December is going to be a crazy month!!! :)

Peek-A-Boo-Baby!

Eli started entertaining himself in the mirror for a good 20 minutes today...Mommy and Daddy got quite a kick out of it! (not sure why this is sideways!)

Eli's weekend at the cabin with Oma and Opa

Oma and Opa finally got their wish - a weekend alone with Eli at the cabin! Eli and Opa became BFFs. And Oma became a bit jealous. But they all had a fabulous time!

Auntie Erika and Uncle Todd got Eli his very first bike, and boy is he proud to ride it! 

He giggled the whole ride!

Eli also loves getting rides from Opa on his wagon! 

Monkey's First Birthday Party

Eli had a sock monkey themed first birthday party, complete with a monkey cake, pinata, and homemade taco bar by Daddy! About 40 people came to celebrate with Eli - we were all feeling the love. It was a great day!

After most of the guests left, we enjoyed an awesome family sing-a-long with Petey on the guit-box, Johnnie on the mando, and Stevie on the box. 

We must have gotten a bit too rowdy, or Eli just didn't want to miss out on the fun. He came down for his second wind! 

Elijah's 1st Birthday!!!

Eli (and Mommy and Daddy too) had an awesome day for the big first birthday! We went to Lincoln Park Zoo, which Eli loved! He was fascinated by the animals (especially the fishies) and all the other little kids. Then we went to lunch at DMK burger, which Mommy and Daddy loved! And on the way home we picked up for Molly's cupcakes for dessert! That evening Opa, Auntie Erika, Uncle DD, and Oma came over for some cupcakes. Eli sure is a lucky boy!

Eli perfected the "hiep, hiep, hurray" just in time!
