1st Hospital Stay ;(

Emerson ended up in the hospital for 2 nights with RSV. We took him to the doctor on Saturday for a bad cough and the doctor said that his lungs sounded good so there was nothing we could do, but we took him back on Tuesday morning because he was just getting worse. The doc sent us straight to the hospital for a breathing treatment, IV of fluids and some oxygen. It was so sad to see our little baby in the hospital, but we realized just how lucky we are to have 2 otherwise healthy boys. Plus he was in excellent hands, which made Mommy and Daddy feel much better.

He loved his special mobile from the nurses. 

Auntie Kelly came to visit and Emerson was all smiles!

Flannel day for the Long boys

One Month Old!

Our little chunky monkey is one month old already! Time has flown by!!!  Emerson now weighs 11 pounds and is 22.5 inches long.  He nurses from Mommy every 3-4 hours during the day and will sleep about 5-6 hours at night. He loves getting a bath in the kitchen sink and watching his big brother Eli. He has great big smiles for anyone who talks to him and is a very happy, easy going guy!

Playing Together

Eli loves to play with Emerson and Emerson loves to watch his big brother. Emerson will turn his head to find Eli whenever he hears him talking - which is pretty much all day, every day!

Baby Bubba

While Mommy has been taking care of baby Emerson, Eli is taking care of his own baby - Baby Bubba. He named the baby himself, and is very good at changing his diaper, tucking him in bed, and even feeding him just like how Mommy feeds Emerson! :)

Shopping Day!

Emerson and Adri had their first shopping date with the girls. We went to OakBrook and they both did great! We spent more time in the Macy's eatery rather than shopping with changing, feeding the babies, and enjoying our own coffee and treats - but the outing was so fun!

Despite Emerson's face for the pic, he was actually a happy guy the rest of the day!
