Eli & Emerson's Big Adventure to The Netherlands!

The whole family went to Holland for Oma Buys's 90th birthday...and what a celebration it was! We had such a great time spending time with everyone over there and are so glad we took the trip (despite the pre-trip nerves!).   Eli had so much fun with all of his Dutch family and it was great that everyone got to meet Emerson and Adri too. We are so glad we took the trip! Here are just a few of the highlights, including Tante Ans's retirement party, Oma's party, Carnaval, The Efterling, and family visits...

The passport saga

Getting Eli and Emerson's passport was a pain-in-the-you-know-what! One of the tough parts was taking their pictures, where they are looking at the camera with no shadows on their face or behind them, and the perfect square size! The pics below were the best we could come up with after days of trying!!!!  Then we had some problems with the paperwork that delayed them arriving, but fortunately, they arrived just in time!

Two Months Old!

Two months old already, unbelievable! Emerson now weighs 12 lbs 15 oz and is 25.25 in long (though that may be inaccurate!). He is talking more and more with goos and gaas and squeals of joy. He loves to play 'klappen in de handjes' and loves his play mat. He is sleeping about 6-8 hours at night and eats every 4 hours during the day.

Fun at Big Oma's

Auntie Erika and Mommy are enjoying our maternity leave time off and spend an afternoon a week at Big Oma and Opa's house. Everybody loves it!

Eli's 2nd haircut

Since Eli's first haircut was so traumatic, we decided to take him to someone he knows - Todd's mom Laura. She made him feel super comfortable and he loved every minute of this haircut!

Play dates with Pa-Pa

Since Mommy is home now Eli really misses Auntie Kelly, Penny, Mackenzie, and Grandpa Ulrich.  He loves when we get to see them for a play date!

Eli's obsession with the big eared mouse....

Mickey Mouse! All of a sudden Eli can't get enough of Mickey and his pals on Mickey's Playhouse. It all started with a trip to the Disney store with Auntie Erika and these two new friends...

Then came the obsession with watching Mickey's Clubhouse on Disney Junior...

He doesn't move a muscle when watching Mickey! 

And from there his new obsession has spun out of control....

We may need to seek help!
